The roads of classical music from Verdi to Stradivari
Departure from the accomodation in Parma at 9.00 am
Our first stop will be in Roncole, where we wil visit the humble house of Giuseppe Verdi and we will retrace the places that inspired his artistic education, from the Museum where his ancient piano is kept, to the Theater where “Il Rigoletto” and “Il Ballo in Maschera” where played for the first time.
After a lunch with typical products, we will move towards Cremona, birthplace of the great lutist Antonio Stradivari, to visit the Violin Museum where we will be able to admire some of the most ancient and precious instruments in the world. We will then have the chance to see the workshop of an expert lutist and observe the great attention and care with which these instruments, real works of art, are still produced. We will afterwards take a walk in the centre of town, that claims a cathedral square among the most beautiful in our country, and the famous “Torrazzo”, with the tallest bell tower in Italy.
